32、ingbrightzinccoatingsarewidelyused.Theabilityofazinccoatingtopreventcorrosionisafunctionofitsthicknessandthetypeofserviceconditionstowhichitisexposed.Forexample,therateofcorrosionofzincwillgenerallybegreaterinindustrialexposuresthaninruralones.Thetypeofserviceconditionshould,therefore,betakenintocon
33、siderationwhenspecifyingtheminimumcoatingthickness.Trivalentchromateconversioncoatingsandothersupplementarytreatmentsenhancethecorrosionresistanceofelectrodepositedzinccoatingsandarecommonlyappliedafterelectroplating.Becausetheappearanceandserviceabilityofzinccoatingsdependsonthesurfaceconditionofth
